Q Hair and Beauty, Chichester’s multi award-winning salon, has just received yet another prestigious accolade with the Judges’ Recognition for a Medium Business in the Gazette and Observer Business Awards.
Q has another reason to celebrate in the week ahead as Wednesday evening will see the launch of its beautifully refitted ladies’ salon in the historic building on North Street, in the heart of the small cathedral city.
Last year Q scooped a host of important awards. In September’s BHBA awards, Q were finalists in the Best Salon Team and stylist Amy was a finalist in the Fellowship of British Hairdressing’s Step Up and Shine competition. The Most Wanted awards saw Q as finalists in the Best Salon Experience and Business Thinker categories, while a stylist won a Sassoon scholarship.
In last year’s Observer series awards, Q team won Employee of the Year, Woman of the Year in the Hair and Beauty category and managing director Dawn Lawrence was finalist in Businesswoman of the Year. In the Portsmouth News regional Hair and Beauty competition, the salon was highly commended.
The greatest success came in the Salon Business Awards where Q were finalists in four categories – Going Green, Education, Salon Team and Stylist of the Year – and scooped the top award of Ultimate Salon.
“Last year was phenomenal for us and now this year already looks like being even more exciting,” said managing director Dawn Lawrence-Grant. “We’re enormously proud of our dedicated and highly-professional team who richly deserve all the awards which come our way, and the refitted salon is superb, yet another big achievement for everyone at Q.”
