On Sunday 3rd October we held a fund raising day for ‘Children with Leukaemia’. We decorated the salon and reception based around the theme of Hollywood blockbuster Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The team dressed up as Oompa Loompas, orange faces and green wigs! we set out to do hairdressing from 10 till 2 for a suggested minimum donation of £15 of which all went to charity!
We had 2 chocolate fountains, the music, the film and even a slightly temporamental bubble machine along with raffle prizes, goody bags and hundreds of sweets! We even had our very own Willy Wonka! Anthony was dressed up rather amazingly well, looking just like the movie character Willy Wonka.
Managing Director Dawn Lawrence said “Willly Wonqa Day was a really ambitious event for us as a team to work on, however we managed to raise more money for Children with Leukaemia than we could ever have hoped for and everyone enjoyed the day!”
